Praise Jesus for opening yourself up to desire to seek Him! Talk to a preacher who preaches that you must go thru Jesus Christ to get to The Father. Jesus it the Way, the Truth and the Light! There are many good books to read. John Hagee is a great man of God as well as Jack VanImpe on TV. Also, make sure you listen to preachers who preach the whole word of God that includes the warnings as well as the Hope we have in Jesus. Some candy preachers preach only what we want to hear. They are the I want to feel good preachers. You need to hear of hell as well as heaven, of demons as well as angels! Ask ques here again, but ALWAYS use the Bible to discern any ans you get on here or anything anyone tells you. Discern always!

You can go straight to Him- Admit you are a sinner- confess your sin and turn from your sin- and ask Jesus to be your Savior and you will find Jesus= He has been seeking you out. You can talk to anyone who is a Christian- however you only need to go Him yourself for salvation.

Yes, seek the counsel of those willing to help, but also take comfort from Jeremiah 29:13 --
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
