Yes, Because God knows that you are protecting yourself from jail and ofennces.. It is ok.. the question is: Wjhat's in your heart?

You must not obey the law of the land if it consituted complete prejudice, like ""Torture the prisoners"" as an example which don't exist actually but we are just talking.. in this case you must apply God's law, which says don't hurt anyone...

Law of the land usually don't contradict with morals, and morals is a part of any religion.

Ethically or morally you should put the Word of God first. But I'm not suggesting you attempt to apply Old Testament Law such as stoning an adulterer. Trust in the Lord when you are looking for justice.

Comply with the law of the land. Don't forget that there are many mistakes in the Bible which is supposed to be the word of God.

No. It's easy to say but hard to do. Read the book of First Peter for guidance on this subject. The ways of the world and Gods ways will often differ. You might want to look at it like this: Our present life is a forerunner, a commercial, a prelude of the life to come. This life will last less than 120 years. Eternity, be it in Heaven or in Hell, will last forever. Suffering will come in this life but why compromise the Christian stance for favor & good in this life if it means going against Gods will and forfeting Heaven? Why forfet an eternal life of bliss for temporary gain? If God is for us, who can be against us? God knows the situation in our lives. Trust Him. .

Dear Drutazo,

The Bible does indeed tell us to love God first and foremost. And it also teaches us to obey authority, because they are God's agents for justice and moreover, are held accountable (hence the importance of also praying for our leaders).

i don't feel comfortable giving you an answer without knowing what specifically you are referring to. But if you email me with the specifics i'll do my best to give you a Biblical answer.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

I hope that the law to which you are referring is not our law against murder or drunk driving, but if you are morally opposed to a law, then you have a right and a moral obligation to address your lawmakers.

That being said, please do not air your greivances against the people who benefit from those laws. (ie. don't yell at a welfare recipient to achieve welfare reform.) This is rude and terribly ineffective. Let your views be known by those who can make change.

If your views will bring you persecution, then that is the choice you face.

Good luck.

Yes you should or you will get in trouble and in jail.
Sorry , it means you cannot slaughter every man, women children and livestock in a city even if you find one guy worshiping another god, you cannot stone to death people, and you cannot tear up children that make fun of you. Worst of all, you have to give up your slaves.
Well, it's the price to pay for living in a world that does not follow God's word.
Peace brother.

No. Remember Daniel? He was thrown into the den of lions because he would not bow down to the king, and continued to pray to God.
