He's a cute little 8 week old Pug pup, and I love sleeping with him, but I'm so scared that I am going to roll over on him, that I barely sleep at all when he is in the bed with me. My bf said he would be ok, but between the two of us in the bed, I'm worried. Anybody had any problems sleeping with their pup?

I have a very small dachshund who sleeps with me in my bed, and I’ve never accidentally harmed her. If you were to roll over on him, it isn’t as if he would be killed or smothered instantly, right? It would just be uncomfortable for him, and he would definitely squirm until you woke up and moved, which would probably happen within seconds. I don’t think you really have anything to worry about.

EDIT: For all you people saying, “You won’t get any sleep!” I don’t know what kind of restless sleepers your dogs are, but mine is extremely well-behaved at night and I get great sleep.

This will also make house-breaking really easy, since he’ll most likely wake you up when he needs to go, as mine did.

There is the chance that it could happen since the dog is so small. You say you love sleeping with him but I don't think you getting zero sleep is a good thing either. See if you can roll some sort of tabel or unit next to your side of the bed at night and put your pup on a bed on it so he's still at the same height but you won't roll onto him. It'll just be an extension of your bed.
You may never roll onto him but encouraging words from people saying it will never happen aren't going to do it for you so better safe than sorry!

Depends on if you move alot....But if you do get your puppy the habit of sleeping on the bed, that's where it's gonna want to sleep all the time. That what mine does , If I don't let her on the bed she will cry so I give in and put her out the bed. Try putting her by the feets...

please if u want to sleep peacefully then make a seperate bed for ur pug .because once he gets this habit of sleeping on bed then it might take away ur sleep.it is advisable that u make him sleep on a different bed.

I sleep with my puppy. Believe you me, if I even come close to rolling onto him he lets me know. (barking or even a nip)

this really depends on if you move a lot during your sleep.
however...
i have noticed from my pet dogs that they are light sleepers...

so in the case that they get "uncomfortable"..they will most probably 1) move... or 2) let you know with a bark..bite..etc..
