I am courting this girl right now, she is beautfiul, sexy, full of life and personality and one of the biggest interests I've had in my life. It is really important to me to move things in the right direction, so I was looking for input on romance. We have known eachother a while as friends and only recently become romantic interests, and I shy away from the generic expensive restaurant/bar/club etc. If I had a dining room and table in my home I would cook a meal for her ( I am a cook/chef of amateur ability) and am leaning toward a picnic. I want to be romantic and serious, but at the same time don't want to come on TOO strong for our first date. Any input is greatly appreciated! (btw, honesty and communication are my strengths almost to a fault, as well as confidence and being myself. I am mainly afraid of, as I said, coming on too strongly with my interest and scaring her off, though so far she seems as in to me as I am to her)

Be yourself (honest and communicative!!) don't try &play that down or anything, she would want to be with the person u are &that wont be scaring her off, acting fake will.
A picnic is just fine, romantic but just right for a first date (make sure u add desert) & get to know her more intimatly.
Dont stress, a girl wants a friend and a boyfriend in one.

Picnics are romantic. Find out about her favorite foods. A nice bottle of wine, a rose or her favorite flower, and some good music--your all set!!
Send her a nice thank you card. (Not a generic one) Tell her how much you enjoyed the date, and let her know that you look forward to seeing her again.

Just be yourself. Ask her out for a dinner, having a picnic or just a walk in a park..
simple and sweet
I do personally like the ideas of doing things together, like biking in a park.., enjoying the sunshine.. or watching favorite live games together like the NBA

yes,, first off, cheer up and be happy you have her,, , the secret to pretty ladies are,,,,, dont express it, dont show it,, dont say a word, be yourself,,, if SHE IS SUPER CUTE OR PRETTY,, THAT IS WHAT I CALL A SUPER PLUS THAT IS FOR YOU TO ENJOY,, and just be excellent to her as normal as shopping at walmart or the mall,.. if prettty looks are a bonus,, thats your luck on gods side,, honest,, next turn on some toby keath and sing while your cooking and just make it fun... good luck kiddo
