Depending on your body fat count, you will lose in the middle last. The stomach will get smaller but the fat will dissipate last.
Eat small quality portions 6 or 7 times a day and be patient.

Exercises that target the abs. You can stand with your back to a wall, feet about 10 inches out from the wall, lean back against the wall with your back, tighten your stomach this way, pull it in like you are trying to pull your bellybutton to your back, then lower yourself to a seating position while leaning against the wall. Great for the abs. It seems hard at first, so do it for short periods, maybe a count of 10 and then stand up, do it 5 times more, then you can do it many more times thru the day.
Every few days you should increase the time you hold while in the sitting position. You will feel burn in your thighs at first, that is normal. Most people think they should hold their breath while holding in their stomachs, not true, breathe while holding it in & doing the exercises.

Watch your diet first. Eat healthy and start a solid excercise program. A million crunches won't work if you still eat badly. Change your diet and take up a healthy/safe workout regimen and you will see improvement.
I would advise talking to a nutiornalist, doctor and a trainer. All of these people are experts in their areas of focus and together they are a sure way to a great body.

If you have a fat stomach, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises like walking, rowing and swimming. Losing fat around the stomach takes time. If aerobic exercises are done regularly over a period of time, you will gradually lose weight. More details at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and thats how many you need to lose weight.
work out - cardio 4-6 times a week for 30-50min plus light weight training
8 glasses of water a day
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day
instead of big meals eat 5-6 small meals a day (portion control)
no junk food, no bleached flower (e.g.white bread, pasta), no sodas
