My dog has not stop barking since last night, he is not hurt, I even gave him a warm bath to calm him. He cries like he is sad and stands by the door. We took him for a walk and he stopped barking, but as soon as he is home he barks again. We have had him for about a year now and he never barks unless he needs to go outside to relieve himself. He did hang around my inlaws small female dog, could he be missing her? Can it be the weather? We don't know what to do?

I'm sure it could be quite a few things but when did he last go to the toilet? If he usually only barks so he can go outside then maybe he isn't managing to relieve himself if he is constipated or something.

Either that or you have a ghost in your house & he was trying to ward it off! lol

That's how my puppy is she like's to run around at crazy time when I take her out to use the bathroom. If he not around alot of dogs it could be he does miss her because he want's another dog to play with. Just like when we meet someone you miss them sometimes too. Or it could be it want's to go outside and smell ..Or it hears something outside...Or he want's to be with you!

He might be feeling lonely ,it's better if u make some arrangements for him to be out of the house most of the time if he likes outdoors too much.what's wrong with that?
