I had just moved, a metal based figurine left on the table, when I moved it, a ring. I've heard that you need to ashes,tobacco ?) on the ring, does that "ring a bell" to anyone. It is a beautiful, clear finish on white ash.

i just read in womans magazine the other day that vaseline is the best remover of water spots. it also works for lipstick on clothing and to easily put in and remove lightbulbs in sockets that are prone to moisture

try using toothpaste. just rub a little in a circular motion till the ring is gone.
