I love to eat rice and I'm trying to lose weight but a friend tells me that rice is very fattening. Is he correct?

Rice has zero grams of fat in it, so no it will not get you fat at all, but it is a carbohydrate and is not a good food to eat for a diet, plus it has starch in it as well.

i love rice too!

its a carbohydrate, meaning it will make you put weight on, but anything will if you over-do it.

rice is a better alternative to something like potato or bread, but everything in moderation i think.

eat your rice, you only live once.

no rice is not fattening... its what you eat with like fried stuff.. rice is one of the main course for your diet.. if you trying for weight loss then go for brown rice which has more nutrition and less calories
