Read lots of stories together, hold him/her.Always express your love and concern for them. When my children are sick those are a few of the things I do. I just got the impression you aren't talking about sick with a fever. If I am right and you are talking about another kind of sick- my advice is to love them through it. If it's drugs, pornography etc. Love can break barriers nothing else can. If I am wrong I apologize. But still my answer would be the same. Love and PRAYER can cure anything. Write me if you need to! I think i saw your post about having a child with a heart defect was that right? If so and if not the best way to be a parent to a sick child is with unconditional love. If they need to just be held, hold them. Whatever that child needs just be there and love them. Also on the medical side watch for signs that may lead to a more serious situation.

All I can tell you is that you need to love this child and take the best care that you can of this child. I am a mother of a child with so many medical issues and I tell you the truth he is a blessing and has showed me what love really is and how much one person can mean to me.
