Benifaca, also spelled Benifassa in modern Spanish, is a place name. "the name Benifassa comes from the Arabic Beni-Haza, son of Hassan".

Cartuja Santa María de BENIFAÇÀ (Antiguo Monasterio de Cistercienses).

It is the name a Monastery of nuns from the Cister Order - also called "Monasterio de Santa María De Benifassà" (in valencian as it is in the Valencian Community)

The Cister Order is a religious order founded by Roberto de Molesme in 1098.
