Sin is not imperfection. Sin is seperation from God. Since Jesus was 100% man and 100% God, he was not seperate from God and therefor was without sin. Remember that time on the cross when He said "my God, my God why have you forsaken me?" ?? That was the only time that He was seperated from God and was the time when He took on the sins of the world.

Yes He is perfect. He is perfect God and perfect Man. He was human. He was like us in every way except sin. He was sent to be an example for us to die for our sins and our imperfections not His sins. He had no sins. He is God. If He had sins and imperfections He would not be God. But He is God and He is perfect in everyway.

The seed of sin is passed down by the man...our "seed" is unclean... Christ was conceived in a virgin by the Holy spirit's seed, not a man's... A virgin is pure..the holy spirit is pure..therefor Christ is pure. Have you never noticed how most men seem to favor their fathers more when they are adults (looks, manners, even sins..etc) If we had all been created by the holy spirit and a virgin and not our dad's "seed"..we too would be pure. The seed of sin was never passed to Christ. that is also why (partially) a virgin could still be a prophetess and a married or unchaste woman could not. They'd been exposed to the unclean " seed".
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Jo 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Here's an OT reference to being unclean and the "seed"
Lev 15:16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
EDIT..NOTE because he was the perfect lamb and was the ONLY one to fulfill the law, He was also the only one that could end the "curse" of the law (until evry jot and tittle was fulfilled the law could not pass away). He died for our sins; but, because He was sinless (the wages of sin is death) death could not hold Him. The grave had no justification to keep Him. God made the rules and followed them to the letter, so that we might have liberty to serve God and not the law. that is what He meant when He said "It is finished" the price had been paid and the law was now finished.

Jesus had to be perfect in order to be a replacement for Adam. That is why the Bible calls him the second Adam. He had to remain perfect throughout his life in order that he NOT have any sins whatsoever to die for. In that way, his death could be for our sins instead of his own. We know that he actually accomplished this because he was resurrected and he has begun ruling as the princely king in heaven at God's side. (Earthly evidence of this fact is that we now have the woe that was promised when Satan and the demons were cast down to earth).

He was half-human. His lived by the Spirit God gave Him. He was found without fault even by the rulers of his time. He didn't die for his imperfections. He died that we could live and make the decision to get back to a relationship with God.

Here's a verse that may help with your question.
Hebrews 4:15
15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin.
Yes Jesus was spotless...Yes perfect in every way!

There is no such thing as an unblemished lamb (don't see a blemish? look closer, perhaps under the wool) or a human without imperfections. But one doesn't have to be perfect to live a life worthy of admiration and emulation.

Clearly He was without sin. Otherwise he would have gone the way of every other human being.
On the contrary He did what no one else has been able to accomplish before or since. He now has 1/3 the planet following Him and if things continue as they have in the past the entire planet will worship Him one day in the not too distant future.

Jesus was and is perfect. He is both man and God. The only reason that He could be the sacrifice for our sins, was for Him to be qualified by being sinless. He didn't die because of His sins. He died because of ours.

The story doesn't make any sense otherwise. The sense of the story is the important thing, not whether or not it truly happened. There's a great line from "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest." It goes something like this: "I swear it's all true, even if it didn't really happen." If this answer makes no sense to you, I completely understand. It's far from logical, and yet to me, obvious.
