Do you feel it is a good idea to raise with the A2 in your hand or do you feel you should simply call to see the flop before risking the money in the situation there is no low?

We'll set the situation lets say at a 9 person table, relatively tight and mid range limits(say 3/6), everyone with roughly the same amount of chips

I would like to see a flop first, because you will more times then not miss your low. Chasing the low is the biggest mistake in high low. You may even have the nut low and someone else may have the same low and another player has the high so even though you won the hand you just lost money on the hand because you got quartered. Or you may get counterfeited on the board and now your low is second best because of the board. You would much rather make the high then the low for sure.

Its difficult to answer this question without knowing the kind of players you're up against and/or how much money each player has. However, if we assume that the game is early on and no patterns have been established, I would risk a pre-flop raise just to see how everyone else reacts. If the resultant betting gets out of hand quickly than beg out rather than "seeing what will happen." If, however, I'm playing a loose table full of callers and/or raisers I wouldn't raise anything pre-flop no matter what.

It depend on your position at the table, are you the first one to enter the pot?. But You might want just call (and you didn't give us your all hand) Depending on which limit you are playing, in Omaha hi/lo you will find around 4 to 6 players in each pot. Players are pretty loose when you talk about small limits. So a call might sound like a safe play.

Take care

With just A2? no you shouldnt raise ... you should probably call. Chances are you may be playing for 1/4 of the pot so keep it low

With a hand like AA23 double suited raise. But with a hand like A27T rainbow call or fold

depend on position and situation but when u go for nut low, a lots of time u run into split. i concentrate on hi to secure least half of pot and use low to backup, expecting split pot.
