You have GM-type 4-hole 6.75" speakers in each door and in the side panels next to the rear seat. Most after-market 6 1/2" speakers are designed to fit into that mounting pattern without an adapter, and the few that aren't can usually be adapted pretty easily. If your vehicle has the factory Bose system, there will be a factory amplifier at each speaker location, and an additional 6.75" "subwoofer" on the driver's side panel in the cargo area.

There's nothing necessarily better about a 2-way, 3-way or 4-way design. Some manufacturers make 3-way speakers or 4-way speakers just to appeal to people who automatically think more is better, and not because it's a better sounding style. Pick the speaker that sounds most natural to you.

For sizing go to Crutchfield.com

As for 2 way, 3 way, 4 way, 5 way.

2 way is all you need if you're using a combined speaker...ie...coaxial.

If your going separates then a 3 way set up does have have some sound advantages. Mid-bass, mid-range, tweeter vs. mid-bass/tweeter on a 2 way.
