I'm going for a Christian theme this year, is a costume of a (male) Witch tied to a stake a good idea? Should I bring a book of matches to be more convincing?

Yeah, go for it and attatch a set of thumb screws as well.. I notice the Christians are putting their 2cents worth in..Their mob are responsible for millions of my Pagan brothers and sisters deaths..The burning times only lasted a few years, but the Witch was persecuted for over 700 years.. Have a great night at your costume party, wish I could come too.. Blessed Be.. )O(

Do you really troll the religion/spirituality section every night?

How persecution of people of another faith is remotely at the core of Christianity or thematic of the good extant in the core of that religion is utterly bewildering to me.

How about a can of gasoline and a lighter? Than you can really make your point - of course, you might not be around to pick up your prize, but it should impress the heck out of those present.

I'd go for something out of Harry Potter. Emma Thompson's character is funny, what with the huge lenses and all.

The persecution of witches was more of a persecution of women, not many men were burned, maybe you should do it but in drag.

Try harder. -- Though with such a crude, and narrow minded idea, you are definitely going down the path of Christianity.
