The Ayurveda system of medicine categorises all the ailments of the body to three kind of defects they are Kapa, Vata, and Pitta. The 27 nakshatras of zodiac are put in the above three classifications in groups of 9 to each group. Whle matching Horoscope it has to be ensured that the bride and groom are not in the same nadi group. The total marks for this match is 8.Naadi dosha is checked for genetic compatibility. If not matched the off spring may be born with congenital defects.

It has something to do with Indian horoscope. Sounded like a disease to me until I looked it up. May have something to do with case system too. Not sure.
