You can, but no more than a tablespoon for a medium to large dog. It can bring on pancreas problem if they get too much.

Stay away from foods such as Purina Dog Chow, IAMS/Eukanuba, Science Diet, Pedigree and othe supermarket brand foods. They conatin way to much cheap fillers & by products. Some even contain dyes & chemical preservatives.Dogs are meat eaters not grain eaters. They are dsigned to get nutrition form meats not grains. Corn, wheat, soy offer very little nutritional value, are high allergens, soy causes excess gas, corn & soy have been implicated in causing unexplained seizures in dogs. Beet pulp offers no nutritional value, it only serves as a filler and adds unnecassary sugar to the diet. It takes up to 3 times as much of these low quality, grain based foods for a dog to get proper nutritionla value as it does a good quality meat based food. Some good foods to consider: Inova, Solid Gold, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover''s Soul,Canidae, Blue Buffalo, California Natural just to name a few.

Make a gravy out of it. It would be better. Chicken broth is good. PPL say do not put grease int o the food, well if ppl would know the truth is dog food companies get the leftover restaurant soured spoiled grease and gets made into the dog food. Least u r want to put fresh grease in the food. But honestly I would not do it. A little bit wouldnt be bad,but grease is not good for us nor our pet.

It would be better to just add a spoon full of yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken stock, or even peanut butter, but if you do add grease, make sure it's very little- no more than a teaspoon for 2-4 cups of food as even small amounts could give your dog gas or diarrhea... and large quantities can cause intestinal problems like a prolapsed rectum...
and long term you're looking at health problems related to all that trans fat and cholesterol.

If your going to give your dog anything then do it without cooking it first. If there is pepper or spice or anything in it it is bad bad bad for the dog. I know its hard to resist those big pooling eyes so set aside a piece of meat or whatever before cooking it. Then once the big dog saucers commence give the poor guy or gal their giblet. NOT CHICKEN OR PORK! Just beef or fish. Its always a good thing to feed them after you eat too. This may cause them to not beg so much.
Hard to resist those eyes I know and I have been known to give my Boston Terrier a cheeto now and then.

No, I wouldn't. At the very least it'll upset their stomach/give them diarrhea, and in the worst case it'll cause pancreatitis or some other serious gastric distress.
You can add canned food to make it more appealing. I know a lot has been recalled, but Pedigree is a decent food and none of it has been recalled. I feed pedigree canned on top of my dog's Nutro dry food, and they love it!
Also, I haven't seen a dog or cat yet that won't eat Hills Prescription canned a/d, it has a srong odor and cats and dogs alike seem to love it. It's not meant to be the only source of nutrition, but it is good to put a little in the food to get your dog to eat

I wouldn't recommend doing so. Dogs that get a lot of table scraps, especially fatty ones, are at risk for pancreatitis. Since pancreatitis can be deadly, it is not worth the risk. If your dogs are avoiding their food, you may want to consider whether switching to a new food may be more beneficial. If this is a new development (meaning they recently stopped eating their food) consider whether the food itself might be rancid. One of our dogs died from an acute pancreatic attack after being fed some chicken skin. Another dog stopped eating his food because it had gone rancid--replacing the food with fresh product got him eating again.

I add the water or oil from a tuna fish can to my dogs dry food. They love it. They are great danes so this is a small amont for them. I would just give a spoonful on the top of there food from the oil you cooked with. I don't see how it would hurt.

no its bad for them and im not even going to say why because everyone else has already. What you do is buy a $.50(cent)-(if even that) of chicken or beef stock and keep it (in a bowl in the fridge) using it over a two or three day period mixing with the dry food. may only last one day, depending on how much the dog eats.

Wouldn't your dogs eat the dog food anyway? Well, to answer your question, that is a bad idea. It is very unhealthy for dogs to eat that much oil that you plan on using. Their arteries do get clogged also.
