I've seen a couple answers on here that people are putting on here ..sorry in advance for any more jerk answers...but if your friend has an addiction and you want to help her the best thing to do is to talk to her and tell her how much you love/care/worry about her and tell her that this not only affects her but it affects you and others who care.. you cant cure her of her problem she has to identify that she has a problem and then she has to want to fix it and become better, in the end..pray for her and i'll pray for her tonight as well ...maybe a church group is an answer?...God Bless and good luck

If you know she has a problem, then tell her you know. After she denys the problem, just say that if you ever think you want help, I am your friend and you can talk to me. Now the first time she starts talking to you, she will probably give you a tearful story and then ask to borrow some money. Whatever you do, never give, loan, front, money to a coker. If you don't establish that with your friend, she wil use you til you hate her. Eventually she wil require treatment, and it will take more than once in treatment.

Are you sure you want a friend like that?

She is addicted and she wont be able to stop on her own unless one of two things happens. 1. She goes to rehab or 2. Something in her life changes that forces her to realize she needs to stop. My husband went through the same thing and to make a long story short, he learned the VERY hard way that it was necessary to stop. He became paralyzed in car accident while drinking and driving and living life on coke.

You can beg and plead with her to give it up, but it will do you no good unless she really wants help. Why not try and seek a group that helps people who are struggling with someone elses addiction. I realise you care, but I am afraid you might be better off for your sake backing of but just let her know that you are there if she needs support to battle her addiction.

This sounds cruel, but it help turn people's life around. The next time you know she is doing it, or has it in her house or car or at a party, call the police and anonomously give them the information. Getting arrested, spending time in jail is a consequence to drug use. Without a harsh consequence people don't change. Good luck and God bless.

The chances of convincing her are next to nil.If you still wanna try and are capable of being a saint here is how you can improve your chances.
Serve do not advice just do what you can to help indirectly.Ignore the negative accept her as she is.Wait for her to get around it can take upto 12years but may be faster. How do I know.....?I do coz I helped some kids turn around.....some I couldnt...just serve there is no other way prayers and prayerful service. All the crap about other things normaly has same to no chances. But this is just one mans opinion..

The only person who can tell her to give up drinking coke is herself. You must try your best to wake her up. You need to tell her that there is always one angel and one devil in our mind. The devil will be telling her just continue drinking coke while the angel is telling her to give up drinking coke. Now her angel is weak and slowly disappearing. Only the people around her or herself has the ability to make her angel strong. Wake her angel up. You can do it and i trust you.

I'm very sorry. I'll be honest with you, i have learn that you can't help someone that doesn't want to help himself. It wouldn't be doing her a favour. Truth isn't always what we want to hear, but she doesn't sound like she's ready to help herself, unfortunately.
But there's tons of people that can be an example for her, as for self-destructive, prostitutes on the streets... however you can try to bring her to a Narcotic Anonymous meeting, and seeing and listening to other users might wake her up.... good luck

It's going to be difficult for you to make her understand what she is doing. SHE is going to have to admit she has a drug problem. The only advise I can give you is to make sure it doesn't start to ruin YOUR life.

Good luck. I wish I could give you a better answer.

You cannot get her to quit if she doesn't want to. She most likely knows she is killing herself but is not ready to reach out for help.
