He is a cocker around 10 kilos and he had about 3 beef-ox tail bones, they weren't sharp or thin, they were nice thick bones, but now he is whining! I think he has a bellyache but it is 1 at night here and nowhere to take him. Is there something I can do to make him feel better??

gave him a bowl of fresh egg and hatch it and let the dog eat it will help the upset stomach, dont worrying wouldnt harm the dogs . or you can rub your dog belly with youre hand gently will might help the pain. in case the vet is close you can try to check in the yellow page and search if there are any veterinarian house in youre state cause there is places like that in most states and countries that has a vethouse that does take care of owners pets and open 24 hours .

You may want to check your phone book and see if any vets have emergency or after hour calling, there should be at least one around, phone and get their advice it may be the fat that could be causing the tummy ache and that could be serious, do you feed raw? it seems like a lot for the size of the dog

The "vet tech" that posted earlier I am really surprised they would recommend inducing vommiting of ingested bones, they go down in small quanitities a bit at a time gently, inducing vomiting would force it up in bulk where injury could occur, do not induce let a vet advice as what to do

NEVER feed your dog bones. when they're being digested they can splinter and injure your dog's internal organs. Dont even feed your dog rawhide or anything like that.
But if you have and your dog is whining just let her rest for a while, if she keeps feeling ill you might want to take her to the vet because it could be serious.

I am a Vet Tech, you can give him a tums tablet to ease some of the pressure, I would also recomend giving him some hydrogen poroxide to induce vomiting, too many treats can lead to pancreatitis which is very painful. If his stomache starts to expand he needs medical help immediately.

Take him to the vet asap. He may have a splintered bone in his stomach. The vet will need to diagnose the couse of treatment and what they need t0 do!

Good luck,
