This life is fraught with trial if you are living according to the principles of God, but living according to his principles is what makes life worthwhile. Fun is great when you're a kid, everything is new and exciting and challenging, but there is a time to put away childish things. Not that new, exciting and challenging is childish, but it's not the whole of life as it is when you're in the process of learning everything, rather than as it is later when you know much of what you need to keep order in your life. Fun then loses its place as the first adjective that comes to mind regarding meaningful life. God has given us this wisdom but unregenerate man thinks that there is a better way than the way that God has set down for us. Which is why children oppress and women rule now. So much the wisdom of man.

No. My religion suggests that the universe was a mistake and life is caught up in the middle of the mess. It’s something between Christianity, Buddhism, and The MATRIX. Goal is to find a crack in the cosmic wall and get the hell out of this absurd universe. Too far fetched? Well I have an open mind to be sure.

I am not happy most of the time no. I look at all of the suffering in the world. All the horrible things happening. Every minute of every day. I am finding it very difficult to be happy at all any more. And for all the atheists who think believers are idiots. What is wrong with thinking our children will one day be in a beautiful place where they don't have to worry about being raped, tortured and buried alive. No happy kid. I am not much happy any more.

My life, although full of things I'd rather forget, is enjoyable--I work hard to make it that way!
Back when I was actively seeking God I was always confused, and now I have a very simple and peaceful life. I love only being concerned about the earth and the people on it, it's liberating.

My religious affiliations (theosophy) certainly made my life more interesting. Happier? I don't know. It's not really an option to check what my life would be right now if I didn't have them. I'm happier then before, but I attribute that to being older, not to my spiritual interests.

The only thing i found to be holding me back was going to a Baptist church in my younger years. I basically had to relearn life....not joking. Now I would be lost without my beliefs, and those aren't religious in anyway.

My life has become richer and happier. Does it hold me back...no on the contrary. I have made some great strides both for God and in my daily activities such as my job, my marriage and my friendships.

I am often held back by my own idiocy. When I complained to God about it he said, "Well, stop any time." Very funny, eh? I feel great in spite of myself.
