I really like this guy and he tries talking to me but it's hard for me to open up to him. I've been an introverted type of person for about four years now and although I've tried hard to change myself it hasn't worked. I just want to open up to this guy before he loses interest. How do I do this? I don't want to scare him away either =(

Thanks.

Express interest (smiling can be a subtle expression of interest, keep eye contact). Small talk (this can lead to opening new doors for conversation, like finding things in common). Find things in common (music, food, movies, moods?). Talk about those things.

Once you find something in common you'll feel more comfortable talking about it. The more comfortable you feel the more you will talk.

The rest is up to you. Good luck

If the guy is so open with you, you might eventually get comfortable enough to say something positive about when he comes around.

I'm the shyest person on the planet, single and 25, never been on a date... but I've managed to allude to missing company with a certain girl- once. That's all you gotta do. Indicate that their attention is working!

Tell him that you open up when you get to know people and let him know you have a hard time opening up to people. Most guys actually like that because they want to be there for you and to be the one for you. Just be cool and let him do the talking too because that is a guys job.

I personally lose interest very easily with shy girls, so if you really like him than coming out of your shell is a must. If your trying to become more extroverted in all areas, not just with this one particular guy, then you should make an effort to mingle with lots of people daily. I personally enjoy girls who can joke around with me, even a bit of teasing gets my attention, and its an excellent way to sort of break the tension. Hope this helps

I think you should just go for it, at a reasonable pace, of course. I too was introverted in school, & let me tell you something: it's a curse. And another thing, you seem like a nice person so, if someone dosn't care for you; its their loss!
Perhaps you could share hobbies / interests with him, that you particularily enjoy or, something like visiting an art museum w/ him.

Slowly. It is not wrong to be hesitant, just show him that you like him by smiling, and look really nice when you go to school. Try not to blame your habits and your hesitance, it can hurt you badly if you break up, and by the way, if you show signs of interest (i.e. fliriting) he will come after you like a dog after steak.

I am just like you

just take it slowly, telling him somethings now and then, dont make the mistake I made about opening to quickly to someone because you will regret it later, and then be all depressed about it later

Stop worrying about scaring anyone away, but instead open up and let him know who you are. If you don't open up then he might be scared away.
