He has had achy pain in his neck for about 3 weeks. I don't think it's a swollen gland. When I press on it it disappears and then pops up again when I let up on the pressure

You should go see a doctor right away. It could be Hodgkins Lymphoma.

If you have any common sense at all, take the teen to the doctor. Could be a lymph node and he needs antibiotics but am not a doctor. Now you want to hear the real scary and true part? It could be a cancerous tumor involving the lymph nodes. Now what is stopping you?

glands don't disappear when you push on them go to your doc for this one. it could be an infection and he may need meds

It sounds like an enlarged lymph gland, and it could be serious. Please take him to your GP.

get it checked out the pain indicates it may be cancer.
