Okay, I am a boy weighing in at 225 lbs, and I just turned 13. I would like to lose weight before the end of summer. The reason being, is that I looked in the mirror, *YIKES*, and to race motocross, which I will start competing in, you need to be fit, and average weight. And the average weight for a boy, my height and age is around 140 lbs. Please help me, I get made fun of a lot and I'm tired of being fat.

All right little man this is what you do...
First change your eating habits. You don't have to "diet" but just eat smarter and in smaller portions (This is going to suck). Stick to this, the hardest part is the first couple of weeks, you should get used to it after that.
Next, since your only 13 DONT exercise, your too young.
However what you can do is run. This is what I advise to people whom want to loss weight or gain a six pack. Running is the best way to do it. Run for at least 20 minutes a day and you will see results fast. Wear heavy clothes to sweat the fat away.
So eat well and stay active the is the simple yet cliche answer. Good luck little buddy.

You're asking to do the impossible. Which is remove fat from one area only. Your body don't care if you want to lose fat from your stomach only. Your body will remove fat from all over your body however your genetics see fit. Some people lose fat off their stomach first, some people lose fat off their stomach last. Another virtually impossible thing you want to do is lose fat through exercise. Very difficult and time consuming to do. It is always easier and faster to drop fat by our diet. This ab workout DVD you have will BUILD THE MUSCLE THAT IS UNDER NEATH THE FAT on your stomach. But those ab muscles will never show until the fat is dieted off. Or, if you have a lot longer time schedule, exercised off. For instance, if I have fat arms, and I flex my muscle 1 million times per day, after 6 months guess what? I will still have fat arms. Don't be afraid of eating in a manner that will promote fat loss. THAT is not the same thing as 99% of he diets I see here on Y!A and in real life. THOSE diets suck. Period. It's no wonder people have such a hard time losing fat. Check out this forum. Your question will soon be on page 6. Why? because no one knows how to diet correctly and therefore they're on here asking questions. Now I'm ranting lol sorry anywho, good luck! And if you want a good diet to get that fat off your stomach, feel free to ask

don't feel bad!!! just exercise and eat right. for real. i know that isn't what you want to hear but that is What everyone tells me when i talk about losing weight. there really is no easy way i guess. no matter what it all comes down to eating right aND exercising. your own personal motivation.if you really want to do motocross then you will try you best to lose what you have to lose AND START RIGHT NOW!!you don't want to put it off until tomorrow or anthing because ill tell you that you will always find a reason to just do it later. start right now and good luck!! check back in and tell me how you are doing. i am starting a diet and exercise routine tonight as well and we can keep each other motivated.

Put the junk food away. Only eat grilled chicken and veggies. Stay away from fastfood restaurants. Excersise. Everyday. Basketball, walking the dog, do this all the time. Don't sit in front of the tv. Get up and move. Work in the yard. Instead of getting rides walk to the store for something. Go walk at the mall. Drink water, don't drink soda. Join the YMCA. You need to be moving constantly. Little boys aren't meant to be sitting down all the time.

I don't know if it will work for you but it helped me, when I heard that Dolly Parton ate whatever she wanted but just ate half of what she would normally eat, I tried it and it helped.
i.e. half a hamburger, etc.
