My prayers go to your mother and you. You might consider consulting an attorney...that won't get you immediate money but might help in the long run. Meanwhile, happy birthday, hell of a present but I'm sure your mom want nothing but the best for you. Try seeking help from local church groups, check with social services in your local town/city/municipality. Good luck and best wishes.

I understand why you are frantic. Really I do. My mother was also hit by a car Feb. 12, 1991.
First take a deep breath. Do your best to think clearly. Pray for peace in your life. Just do the best that you can do. Lean on friends and relatives for help. But most importantly - Kiss your Mom and thank God and please be happy that you have her to be around for more of your birthdays and that she is just on bed rest.
I lost my Mother forever on Feb, 12, 1991.

Sweet one, I know it sounds silly, but it really is darkest before the dawn. Just think about all you have to rejoice about, you have mom and she will come back from this, thank God!
Now, about the need for an extra foot up: contact the Red Cross and or Catholic Charities, Salvation Army or like organization, that is why they are there, bless their hearts.
You take good care of you, Mom is lucky to have you in her corner; you sound wonderful! Best to you kiddo, it'll get better.

Well, remember she's still with you. That should make you happy. As bad as it was it could have been worse, count your blessings and smile. Plus, I'm sure she doesn't want to see you miserable on your birthday.
If rent issues try researching Catholic and Jewish charities. Often they help with a lot more than rent.

Poor thing. Not sure if your area has social welfare helpline or something like that. Try to call them and enquire. Hope your mom is better and take care.
