I met this pretty cool girl the other day, and we kind of hung out together for food and fun, kind of a date, but not really, somewhere in between, and the whole time she kept mentioning past boyfriends. I know some girls do that to tell you what they did wrong, but she just said something to the effect of "oh, yes, john my ex liked that" or "paul my ex went to germany" but never said why they broke off. I'm lost lol...

Sounds like you have things in common with her ex boyfriends. It also sounds like she's comparing you with them. I wouldn't put much faith into this one.

Maybe she's insecure and trying to make you notice her in an odd way. Bringing up the "ex thing" over and over really gets old fast. Give it a little time and if she's still doing it, ask her if she's ready to try dating a new guy - you! If not, then find someone that is more secure and over their ex's.

It still baffles me why some girls do that.............I never want to talk about my Ex's. The past is the past. Leave it there! I think it's because they are comparing whoever they are with to their Ex's. They might not even realize that they are doing it. I would find it rude and annoying. They're not taking the time to get to know the person that they are with................It's B.S. Maybe she's trying to make you jealous. It's not even worth knowing why they broke up.......isn't it obvious????

If you are attacked to her and she is telling you about her boy Friends not Friends in general that's a sign she is thanking of you in a more serious way or she wouldn't be thinking of her X's but if it she always talking about her X's then it is obvious why they split (but not to her !)

she's comparing you to them. it's a ploy, the best response to those types of comments is "whatever".
