Previous posters suggested sex, bad idea. That won't cheer him up (not for long anyway).

Ask him why he's depressed and get him to talk about it. Contrary to popular belief, guys have feelings to.

I have some ideas. Most of the time if ur boyfriend is constantly depressed and doesn't really know why, he may have clinical depression and not know about it. If you guys are really serious you should talk to him and find out why he is depressed, and if he really does not know, then you can try to get into his mind and maybe about his past. If you guys are serious then he may tell you more about him that may spark some repressed stuff that he may have. Who knows? Or maybe you can ask him to speak to a counselor to help him.

Whatever he is sad about you need to help him forget it for a little while. Sex wouldn't be on the agenda if he is emotionally upset. I think laughter is the best medicine. And be loving and just there for him.

Take him to a sports game..
Watch March Madness with him and if you have to fake it.. act like you are interested.
Give him spontaneous and wild sex. Make sure you act as though your just dying for it... They dont really care why... they will just sit there shocked that you have such an appetite..

Its funny just to watch their faces. :)

been there...done that...

the best thing for him may just be to give him some attention and let him know everything's fine (that is, if what he's sad about has anything to do with your relationship)...otherwise, find out what it is that's making him tick and do what you can to help

Being depressed does not mean he is suffering from depression. If he is just depressed, yes, sex is the great leveler, but sometimes just holding someone is enough.

more sex...and take him to the doctor...he might need medication, depending on whether it is clinical depression or just a mild case of the blues...
