I left my son in pullups at night until he went dry at night for about a month. He did have the occasional accident still though. Once you decide to get rid of the pullups at night, make sure you have an extra set of clean sheets handy for any nighttime changes. Make sure you have a waterproof cover for her mattress. And I also would sometimes "cheat" and tuck in a towel over the sheet where he laid down - sometimes the towel absorbed the urine and then I could just pull it off and the sheet would still be dry, saved me a changing!

well i think now would be good, ok she hasn't wet her pull ups in 6 nights is good she needs panties like now. She needs to get use to the feel of the big girl kind anyway, i mean sleeping in them if she is wearing the during the day is great. Well with the washing if she has an accident , you don't no she might will do good and if it happens go ahead now and buy some extras then you will have a few extras to trash but use the sink honey for the wet ones, wash them out an hang them out somewhere to dry it's ok. But remember she is still training so it will be good to wake her a least once in the night for her to go an potty twice wouldn't hurt. Let her be a big girl get them panties out! Good luck

That is tricky, I have just turned 4 yr old who can stay dry for weeks, then have several night accidents.
We have charted liquid intake, potty times, bedtimes, wake times, everything.
Her pedi says that it can be very normal for a child to have night accidents until around 5 yrs, it is only then that it is considered bed wetting. I checked that on Wed MD and other credible medical sights and the info was the same.
Depending on how old she is, I would say put her in panties, but get a sheet protector, or at the very least a large plastic trash bag under her sheet, and give it a try, unfortunately extra laundry just comes with the job.
Good Luck!!!!

Okay...the pull-ups cost a fortune, but the big girl panties could be a problem this soon too. Since it has only been six nights that your daughter has been dry (overnight), I would try to keep her in the pullups a bit longer. If you can't afford to, then go ahead and put on the regular underwear--I'm just worried that if she 'makes' in her big girl underwear, that she might be devastated. Maybe not, and maybe she's totally ready...You didn't mention how old she is, and how responsive she's been to other things you've 'weaned' her off of. I just wish you and she the best of luck and happiness--that's what's most important. :)

Sounds like she is doing great!
I would test her out on a waterproof sheet at first. she may still have accidents occassionaly, so having a piece of rubberized flannel (available in baby stores as "crib protectors") will keep her sheets dry. if it gets wet, you can just rinse it in the tub and hang it over the towel rack to dry.
if she continues to wet, just set an alarm for the middle of the night or take her to the potty before YOU go to bed for a few days until she starts to get up herself, or to hold it all night.

When I potty trained my daughter I didn't use any pull-ups unless we were traveling. To me it confuses the child. But as far as the night time training went I would limit liquid intake, have her pee before bed, and my husband and I made a chart so that if one of us got up in the night to pee we would wake her up. We marked the time on the chart that we took her to the bathroom so we weren't waking her up too many times a night. It worked well. Also you can wash her undies in the sink and hang them to dry. But try to get her out of pull-ups.

you will consider your daughter fully night train when she asks to go to the bathroom and is wearing her underwear.
take off those pull ups. when my son was ready ,he slept on his boxers and he did have a few accidents here and there ,but its no biggie. im so happy he is potty trained that an accident at night mean nothing compared to a mother being pamper free . i use the pull up when we go out and im going to take a while .

"When can I consider my daughter night potty trained?" When she no longer has accidents.
