I met the girl I like at Macdonalds yesterday. When she said hi, I was like 'oh hi' and thats all, I just looked away.Then she asked me if I was meeting her bro, then I just said 'no' and looked away. Lol, how do you prevent yourself from being shy? I just seem to be giving one answer at a time.

it may not be shyness at all, it may be that your not very confident in yourself. the worst a lady can do to you if you talk to her is not be interested in you. go out and talk to as many of them you can about as many different topics as you can think of and eventually you will be comfortable talking with any stranger about anything. you can always start with something simple like "Hi, hows it going?" it doesnt take much to start a conversation. just get out there and give it a shot.

I agree, except the mirror part. Just go and talk...it's not that hard. It's like anything else, the more you do it the easier it will get....

I still haven't overcame my shyness. but I think the best thing to do is to pretned that you have nothing to loose that always helps me. I haven't completely overcame it all but that does help me...
