What's the best way for me to create those waves or loose curls everyone has? How about more volume? I've tried blow drying it with a big round brush and that was a disaster. My hair can hardly hold anything. HELP!

Have you tried hot rollers? Or switch your shampoo and conditioner to something that will enhance curls.
My hair doesn't hold in curls either. Once I'm done curling one side of my hair and end with the other, the first side of curls have fallen out. I usually don't put conditioner in my hair if I'm going to curl it. It makes it drier and easier to hold in the curls. Afterwards, I put a dime size amount of silicone based hair product (usually a gel type product you can get at salons) in my hair. The silicone in the product makes your hair shiny and extremely soft. It basically makes up for the 'no conditioner' thing.

Try getting a haircut in layers, that always adds volume.
If you want the permanent curl effect, try a soft perm so that it looks natural, ifyou get the hard permyou will end up looking like a head with noodles.
If you don't want to use chemicals, buy a hair crimper, so that you can have the temp curly look and if u want to go back to straight, you still can.
Avoid gels & hair wax as this will only flatten your hair more.

put curlers in your hair wen you are going to sleep. also try a hair curler and then shake your hair up so that they look more natural. if all hope( and everything else) fails, look 4 wavy hair shampoos. they are a little more expensive, but they work. try something 4rm pantene. It WORKS!!

if you want it to be permanent, buy an at home perm kit. they come with all different sizes of rollers, and they're VERY easy to use, just follow the 3 step directions included.

pass CURLY!! i think of maximum guyz perfer curly hair! yet dont over do it! if u r certainly curly! then gr8! if u r no longer! then jst do the ends to be curly! and make beneficial to no longer over do it! goodluck!
