The proper way is either over your shoulderwith your hand on the small of her back to balance her.
Or.
Groom style. One arm under her shoulder blades and another under her knees.

the easiest way is to have her put her arm around your neck, put one arm across her back, and the other under her legs and pick her up. Be careful if factory workers start cheering for you and she puts on your hat, you may be richard gere..
