Hey,
I think that one of the main factors as human is the visual factor, if a man is atracted to the woman for whatever reason they will feel like they have to make an approach, the approach depends on the person. Indivuals have different standards, like some man are attracted to blonde, some brunettes, some with big bbies.. some with big you know what, sometimes is the smile... the scence of the woman. It can be a million things. It all depends on the attraction, whether it is physical or emotional.

Men are visually attracted and that's the only factor. There is often something he finds beautiful about her and combined with @ height/weight proportionate body this usually compels a man. Each guy has their preference, I think many love long hair ie but these factors are still all based on appearance.
After the appearance gets his attention.
Only then does the personality get to shine through.

Unfortunatly, an unknown girl who is just walking down the block, appearance is all a guy has to go off of. Personally I would say hello or introduce myself for the purpose of trying to get a read on their personality. If you dont know what they're really like, looks alone dont amount to much.

That girl must be oozing with sex appeal! Sex appeal has been defined as animal magnetism and it is indeed a magnet. When a girl like that passes by, there's really nothing the poor men could do - they're magnetized - and you can't fight that kind of force. Some men are happy just to look (probably married men) but the braver ones would actually strike up a conversation (hoping to get lucky maybe!).
Either that or it's just a dare...men like to play this game - they'd bet who can get a date with this girl, blah, blah.......so they'd talk to her (a total stranger, appealing or not).
