I have to say its not enough, and thats its not healthy. That calorie count would barely sustain an inactive 2 year old.
Here are the tools you need.

Dont worry about the fat, for now, its just stressing you out.
Concentrate on maintaining your muscles, muscle burns a hell of alot of calories, even at rest.
Spread your meals out to every 3 hours(depends on age, gender and size but, 1800 calories is most likey better for you(use the tools below to find out), 1000-1200 calories is not enough to sustain my 4 year old daughter)

If you dont eat enough, your body will break down your muscles to use as fuel and also to save energy, not good. Muscle burns calories, remember?. If you starve yourself of food and nutrients you lose muscle and water, making it difficult to lose fat. Take care of your muscles, (eat proper and exercise) the muscle will take care of the fat for you. Eat a good meal at least 2 hours before you workout or you will breakdown even more muscle. Eat immediately after a workout (Protein and Carbs) to stop muscle breakdown that started during your workout(Preworkout and Postworkout nutrition).

Muscle is heavier than fat, muscle is also denser than fat. Dont be alrmed if you dont lose as much as you want or even if you start to gain a couple of pounds. (you probably wont gsin, if you think you need to lose 30 pounds) After I changed our eating habits my daughter fits into her older smaller clothes and is heavier than before, same for me, my weight loss stopped dead in its tracks since I used proper preworkout and post workout nutrition and I fit my old jeans now(glad I kept them)So its possible to be heavier but still fit into smaller clothes. Fat isnt just on your legs or arms or under your chin, its packed inside your ribcage, around your heart, around you lungs and other organs, so you will shrink in size but you could stay the same weight or even be heavier, dont go by the bathroom scale is all im saying.

Eat dairy for bedtime snack, dairy products contain a slow digesting protein called casein, this slow trickle of protein into you blood through most of the night will help to protect you rmuscles from breaking down. Reminds me of my Dad telling me to drink my milk and get to bed....lol......Thanks Dad. Just one thing....a serving of cheese is the size of your thumb and is 100 calories and has fat. I'd go with fat free yogurt and a glass of fat free skim milk, thats 12 grams of muscle saving protein...0 calories from fat...and vitamins to boot...good deal....and you will burn off 140 calories in less than 2 hours WHILE SLEEPING!!!

Source(s):
search "sample meal plan" in a search engine I use them as a guide to get meal ideas, heres the one I started off with(where it says nutrition shake or ready to drink I eat a real meal) http://www.bodyforlife.com/nutrition/mea... I eat 6 meals a day 300 calories each by average. although breakfast should be nearer 500 cal and my last meal is a cup of fat free skim milk and a serving of yogurt (140cal)

I cant answer your question directly, because we need to know your current bodyweight, bodyfat percentage, age, gender, how active you are, height, size of your frame, small medium large. Besides if you do lose 30 pounds like that, it would be water and muscle, hardly any fat, and when you start eating again, and you will, you gain even more fat, and your bodyfat percentage will skyrocket.

Trust me I've seen it, a couple of my cousins, my sister, and even my wife all tried what you are doing and the results were disasterous, flab, flab, flab and now they look very unhealthy, very overweight and very bad looking skin and are sick almost all the time(weak immune system), so unless you like flab, zitty skin and like catching every cold virus on the planet, please stop the starving. My wife lost over 20 pounds and is still going, since we started to eat properly(lost 21 pounds myself) I would say that my cousin had about 4 rolls on her body, after the starving, geez...I'd have to say that they doubled in number....very flabby.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

You won't lose anything without exercise. Try 3 hrs on a treadmill to burn that much. This myth of a half hour three times a week won't do anything but the minimum. You want to eat then exercise everyday at least two hours a day of vigorous exercise when you are fit enough to do it. You probably are eating too much and not exercising enough to burn up the calories. Check with your doctor. You better start soon. Heart attacks hurt alot. Worse pain you can imagine and the pain will last a few days of torture. Start exercising. Turn off the computer, t.v. and go out and walk for starters. Eliminate hamburgers for life.

I do appear higher, my garments have compatibility higher however nonetheless...I could like the dimensions to transport in view that I think I am doing what I have to do. I am opening to wonder whether I truthfully have to consume extra in view that I lately learn that should you consume the quantity of energy if takes to preserve the burden you're seeking to get to you're going to have higher success. I am thinking about if I am slowing my development down by way of now not eaing adequate...allow me recognise should you uncover the reply. And no, I defiately do not feel a character has to consume a thousand energy an afternoon indefinatley. I ponder whether we would each be consuming extra and seeing rapid development...
