I would not , for one too spicy and another reason is onion powder could be one of the ingredients and that is toxic to dogs, some of the other recommendations same problem eg spagetti sauce or gravy may have too much salt and onion powder, as for ketchup, you are adding daily it could change urinary ph and result in crystals in urine or bladder stones.

Their are safer alternatives, try making a broth or soup in bulk add meat( ground beef, some turkey or chicken) add water you can add some veggies and pasta or rice, potaoes with parsley and a bit garlic for extra flavor, but no salt, and set to simmer when done you can refrigerate or freeze into smaller portions eg ice trays thaw warm up and serve over kibble

You can add a spoonful or plain yogurt is good for many dogs some are lactose intolerant so try only a tiny bit first.

sprinke some parmeson or romeno cheese over top

add mashed potato in

Add a bit of hot water to the kibble very few dogs will actually chew kibble so really it does nothing to help teeth serving dry.

Add some canned sardines

Boil up some hamburger meat you can drain to remove some of the fat if you choose but add more water and ladle a bit over the kibble

add some pure unsweetened apple sauce, test to see if dog likes first

add canned pure pumpkin

Yeah, you can, but the additives and preservatives in the BBQ sauce probably won't help your dog in the long run.
The extra salt and sugar will also cause pooch to put on unneeded weight.

Maybe try a different brand of dry dog food, or different flavors. If you need to add anything to your dogs food, try cracking a raw egg over its food, or adding a teaspoon of canola oil-- they don't have nasty preservatives, are a natural source of protein and will make your dog's coat shine like the chicks on the pantene ad =p

Most everyone's said it already, but no way! If you INSIST upon doing so, make sure there's nothing in the bbq sauce that is dangerous to your dog. I'd be surprised to hear that there is no dog food sauce that has a BBQ flavor to it out there, though. Our dog has lots of BBQ flavored toys!

I would avoid adding anything to the dry food to get your dog to eat it unless you plan on ALWAYS adding it to the food. Once you take it away the dog will become uninterested again. So as far as the sauces they have out to purchase... would you really want to purchase a product like this for years to come. You might be starting a bigger problem then what you already have. Dogs won't starve themselves if food is available. I would recommend adding a tiny amount of warm water to the dry food and only feed the amount of food your dog can eat at one sitting; 30 mins top. Good luck!

I wouldn't add BBQ sauce, or any sauce for that matter. Too high in salt. If your dog isn't eating, just let it sit. Don't entice your dog with food that isn't good for her. Stick with a quality dry food twice daily. That's the schedule. If she doesn't eat, she will when she gets hungry. If it continues, you may want to have her evaluated to make sure everything is okay.

Instead of adding BBQ sauce, why don't you add something that is both tasty AND healthy? Dogs LOVE salmon or fish oil (if you get the capsules and break them over the food) and vitamin E capsules. They also like olive oil and raw egg as well. All of these are great for their skin and overall health, much more so than BBQ sauce.

I wouldn't recommend BBQ sauce to flavor your dogs food....BBQ sauce gives my dog the runs. Iams has a line of sauces that you can squirt into the food. Also you could try adding a little bit of wet dog food and mixing it up. My dog loves that! Here's a problem my sister had, her dog wouldn't eat the food unless she mixed a little bit of water in with it....some dogs are picky!

My dogs eat a lot of left overs which we mix with the dry dog food. However I think BBQ Sauce is too concentrated. Too much can upset a human much less a dog. Ketchup may be safer but cannot say the will like it.
Try the pet store gravy or that from your table if you cook often.

They make ''gravy'' specially formulated for canines. Sold at pet stores.

Safer bet than adding BBQ sauce. The seasonings in that could upset the dog's digestive tract.

I wouldn't ,But iams ,and a few other dog food companys make gravys in a bottle you add to their food.BBQ sauce is very acidic not to mention full of sugars that can upset their digestion or kidney functions .Try different brands of dog food until you hit on one your dog likes.I tried purinna ,Gravy train,Kibbles and bitts, and a zillion others but all of my dogs seemed to like Pedigree
