I recently purchesed some sunblock for my daughter and some for me. I've always had sensative skin from being burned badly when I was a baby. I just avoided the sun even though i love the hotness. I put the sunblock on my face and arms and it was really oily. Is it supposed to be like this. It feels like rubbing creamy baby oil on my skin... My skin is already oily after I wash my face.

You are supposed to use something special for your face. It is always going to be a bit "oily" though, but if you get a good organic product it wont be like "putting baby oil" since organic products use vegetable oils only. That means your skin, even if it is oily will not be worsened by it. You still need to put a regular moisturizer under anything that has SPF first. Always. Check these:

And remember to remove any SPF product before going to sleep and avoid putting it when you are not going to go out (or be in front of the computer). For the night you should always use a moisturizer without SPF only.

yes..some sunblock is oily , those are made for people with dry skin.. since you dont want it to be oily try :
a)makeup ...like powder for your face with spf
b)try a sunblock for sensitive skin...like aveeno brand or organic or neutrogena, those are very good ones...you can find these in your local drugstore but dont be shocked by 10 $ up...products for sensitive skin tend to be more expensive..before going and coming back with nothing i hand...why not check it out on the internet first they have comments on the products..go to www.drugstore.com
hope this helps x_x

I wouldn't think it is supposed to be so greasy. What are the active ingredients?

Try using less of the oil. This should work.

stick to the children's sunscreen only. look for Paba-free as it is less likely to clog pores. you will likely have to try different types to find one that is best for your skin.
