Having survived a horrendous crash I spent five years in a living hell. Pain at extreme levels just eating away at my sanity. I dreamed of death and attempted suicide. There is only one meaningful form of suicide and that is to step out of a life of physical pain.
Now to die for God is hypothetical rubbish. If God created you (lol) he wouldnt want you to throw that away ? Oh wait a minute God is all powerfull and he must have made you with the knowledge that on a specific day you would commit cuicide and therefore if you dont you are trying to go against God. Things get terribly confusing when you try to bring a non-exsistent creator who knows everything the past and the future of all time. So it doesnt matter God must have put people on earth with the purpose of killing themselves, they dont know it but thats the only way forward its all part of Gods will. Do you want to go against gods will.
So if you believe in this fable whichever way you die you do for God. It is all part of his great plan. He knows everything and controls everything.
People think suicide is a bad thing, well I agree though I cant put any statistics up I believe 99% are for completely the wrong reasons and people are taking the easy way out and throwing away the most precious thing they will ever have. Saying that they wont miss it they will be gone out of existance there is nothing after death.
There are some people and I was in that situation who are living in extreme pain, they have no enjoyment and are living a life of handling this pain. Some know that it will only get worse and they cannot take it anymore, they start loosing a rational thought as most see it to life. It is hard to answer but some say suicide shouldnt be allowed and they should be forced to live out the rest of their lives in pain.
I was fortunate and medical proffesors are finding solutions to pain in amazing ways. Once medicine can take away the physical pain very few suffer I will agree suicide is wrong. However to this day there are a few, very few cases where suicide is the only form of relief.

I don't think suicide is meaningful at all. At least not the kind you do because you're depressed or want to make a statement. I would say doing something you know that will lead to your death, but not by your hand, like jumping in front of a kid when he gets shot at. You know you'll most likely die, but dying isn't the intention. Saving the child is.

There is no 'meaningful way of suicide', if your god didn't want you to live he wouldn't have given you life. Committing suicide is a man made option not a divine one.

The most meaningful way to commit suicide is by old age. You get to help people through your life and commit suicide by not even trying. You will die anyway so why bother doing it yourself? If God wants me to die then he will kill me himself. If I committed suicide surely it would be against his will because I did it myself which has nothing to do with his wishes.

You cannot commit suicide for God, since His own commandment says "Thou Shalt Not Kill". Suicide is the most irrational act a human being can commit. Therefore it cannot be meaningful.

Suicide has no meaning and never will. God finds suicide a sin and gets you so far into hell, that you are three feet from the devil himself (according to the bible).
Does commiting a sin get you closer to God? .... ummm no.
And this isn't something that relates soley to the Christian based religions. Most religions are against suicide.

To die for God......no
Suicide is deeply sad and to ask for a meaningful way is difficult to answer. To me if someone made me choose between my life or that of my child it would be mine to go.

My God doesn't ask me to kill myself for Him. I don't believe in a "meaningful way of suicide".

Go preach in the middle of a gang infested area after dark on a Friday or Satruday night. Or a back street in the Castro district of San Francisco.
