Yes it is true that he bled for our sins and our sins are forgiven only if we repent and believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Also God is also merciful but also vengeful which is why he sent Jesus to die for our sins because no one on earth is perfect, and we wont die perfect but for Jesus's suffering we are able to be perfect in Him so that we are able to go to Heaven.

The message is that Jesus loves you so much and also understands what you are going through because in the garden of gethemane when he bled through every pore He felt the pains of the world. And that he was willing to sacrifice himself for the well being of the world.

Good question. As a person who is sarcastic myself, I did not take it that way.

In the Old Testament (time before Jesus) the Jewish faith demanded a blood sacrifice (was it once a year?) for the forgiveness of sins. The chief rabbi would go into the Holy Tent once a year, and lamb's blood would be shed as a sacrifice to the Lord. There could not be forgiveness without the shedding of blood.

Now comes Jesus. As God said, "The Lord sent His only son to take away the sins of the world". Jesus was the PURE LAMB, the purest sacrifice, and when He died He had every sin from every person EVER on Him. God did this because He loves us so much that He does not want US to suffer, so He put it onto HImself.

God could make you serve him.He doesn`t. Jesus died to save us from our sins by taking all sin on his shoulders, that is why God turned away from him because that sin was so great.A very simple answer to Jesus dieing on the cross is that humans are blood thirsty. They love to go and see some one beat in a fight back then they went and watched men get killed tore apart by lions etc... We were heathens.God put a stop to sacrifice when Jesus died, for there couldn`t be a greater sacrifice then His Son Jesus. They not only sacrificed animals back then they sacrificed people. What happened on that cross became the salvation of the world by putting and end to Sacrifice. The beginning of education.Moving out of the dark ages into the light.

I see your point. When Jesus came to the earth as the sacrifice for all mankind, the only people who are able to be covered by Jesus death are those who accept Him as their Lord and Savior. This makes us His child. Not everyone is God's child.

We are all born sinful and separated from God. God himself in the form of the human being, Jesus, came to the earth and sacrificed Himself for us. This act brings us back into perfect communication with God.

This sacrifice had to be made because God does not allow sin into Heaven. God has declaired that Jesus' blood pays for our sins, only if we accept Jesus.

The message is that God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, in our place because He is perfect and we are not, to pay for our sins.

Yes, Jesus did suffer torture but, He is now alive and with God and is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

P.S. AE, Everyone who died before Jesus, went to Sheol or the grave. Jesus went and preached to them while he was dead. Read 1 Peter 3:20.

The Hell for eternal punishment is called Gehenna. Which was prepaired for the Devil and his angels and those who do not choose Jesus. Matther 25:34-46.

Actually, The verses in the bible which say that hell is "forever" are translated wrong. More about that later.

Jesus suffered in place of sinners so that we wouldn't have to. He forgave His own murder, and in doing so, took away all the sins of the world. The door to heaven has been flung wide open!. By God's grace anyone can enter by asking for forgiveness.

As for hell not being eternal, I recommend the following website: www.tentmaker.org/articles/Hell_ is _Leaving_the_Bible_Forever.html
I read the article. It is a real eye opener.

When God created the world,it was perfect. God created the world with certain laws in place. One of the most important laws was that the 'consequences of sin was death'.
When God created man he was given a choice whether to sin or not. God warned the man that sin would lead to death, but man chose sin. When this happened God had no choice but to fulfill His law. In order to save the man and his wife God killed a lamb as an atonement - to fulfill the law.

Jesus came to be our final Lamb for all time. Now all we do is ask for His forgiveness and our sins are cleansed. On judgement day Jesus will stand by those who accepted his shed blood as an atonement for their sin. But, we must ask for this gift.

Hell is for those who GOD (not us) judges are beyond saving. If a person winds up in hell it was by his own choice. just like a person here on earth will go to jail if they are judged to have broken the law. The judge did not make them a criminal - they did that to themselves.

Heaven is reserved for God and they people who 'choose' to follow Him. Hell is reserved for those who have 'chosen' to follow everything that God does not stand for. You are correct, all of our sins are forgiven. But you have to try to live a life that is Christlike. While it is true that none live without sin, God's people recognize what Jesus did for them on the Cross and repent and try again and again and again. And to your other question, because of Adam, mankind fell into sin. God could have just wiped out sin and made everyone do right but He is faithful and He is just. Things had to be done the right way to redeem us back from the clutches of satan. May God Bless U.

His sacrifice meant we COULD be forgiven. We have to decide whether or not we accept the way he made for us. I don't believe Jesus had to die that way, I don't even believe it was the heavenly plan. I think Jesus should have been taken to the temple and the priests should have had a respectful ceremony, then at some point his spirit would have left his earthly body. He still would have suffered, but I assume you mean not being beaten and crucified. It really should not have happened that way. But the message is that sin is a terrible thing and there is a price to be paid for it.

Christ died for our sins but it is said that in order to receive the sacrifice he made for us, you must receive him also as the Son of God. Unfortunately, yes I think Jesus had to suffer and die in order for our price to be paid. It was done so we do not have to suffer and die but are promised eternal life (spiritually) with God. The real basis of being a Christian though is the resurrection of Jesus. He said he would be made alive again by God, and we as Christians believe that did happen as proof that he was indeed the Son of God. This is to show us that God through Jesus now can make us alive again as well even after our bodies have died.
