Everyone is different -- each person's strengths and weaknesses vary. Group study provides the chance for each individual's weaknesses to be discovered and overcome. When one person studies alone, his weaknesses won't be challenged as much as if he were in a group.

You get different perspectives on problems, too. Maybe someone in the group would have a way of solving a problem that you hadn't thought of.

As long as the group is supportive, there is the opportunity to learn more than in individual study.
