My kitten is 5 weeks old and she is getting very active where she is getting out of the box almost. I worry that she might fall or hurt herself when i'm not looking. I found out that this vitamin surup that the vet gave me to give her the proper minerals and vitamins, that it's a energizer for fussy kittens. Usually after she is done eating, she will want to lay down but thats not the case anymore. How could i calm her down to where she will sleep???

She may be 5 weeks old but she is very tiny, she only weighs 150grams. I'm afraid she will hurt herself cause her other sister did something to it's neck and died within days after. so i don't want that to repeat itself. might let her have some play time and try to tire her out. but i won't let her run anywhere without me.

Don't try to quieten her down. An active kitten is normal, her size isn't uncommon when kittens are taken from their Mom earlier than 10 weeks
What I would do is get a big crate and pop her in it with some food and water and litter and bed then let her out when you can supervise. If you keep it dark, that will encourage her to stay quiet, so pop a blanket over the crate, but ensure that air can still get in.
She's getting older and more confident with moving around, it's perfectly normal for her to get more active. Get her toys such as one of those fluffy mouse which is on a spring attached to a small stand, you can usually pick those up at $2 stores. She will play with that but she won't be running around to do it. There are other toys you can get, they have a mouse or a ball in a track and it moves around but can't go anywhere. These tend to be more pricey. Also take a shoe box, cut a hole smaller than a ping pong ball in the side. Put the ball inside and and tape it shut. Cardboard boxes with little holes cut into them and taped together that she can explore will satisfy her curiosity (like a little kitty condo). Paper grocery bags are also usually a hit with kittens.
Feed her a good quality cat food. They may seem more expensive but they tend to eat less and it lasts longer so really it's cheaper than supermarket foods.

How many times are you giving the vitamin supplement Maybe it just a bit too often? I would call the vet and ask if the vitamin supplement dose cold be lowered a tad.
5 weeks is about the time a healthy kitten will want to move around and explore the great out world. Usually kittens this young tire easily after an hour of rumbuctious play. So if your kitten likes to romp right after a meal, allow her to play for half an hour to an hour then CRATE her - she'll go to sleep in a comfortable cat carrier. Make sure kitten has gone potty before you put her in her carrier.
In a couple of months I suppose you'll have her spayed. That will help calm her down (some).

Play with her! Kittens are very energetic and need a lot of "play time". If you are tired and don't feel like shaking a stick with a feather on it around try getting a laser pointer. Shine it on a wall just out of her reach or on the floor in front of her and move it back and forth. I used this trick to wear out my cat when he was a kitten and it worked every time. Just be careful not to shine it into her eyes, it could blind her. Also Petsmart has a really cool remote control mouse that rolls across the floor and will amuse her. Or you could buy a Roomba vacuum (the little round robot vacuum), a friend of mine says her cat loves trying to "catch" it, and that way you would also get all the cat hair that she's going to be shedding up at the same time. And don't worry once she's a couple of years old she'll settle down.

Kittens are playful and full of energy. They run and play.
Play With Her.
There is nothing more fun to watch. They are natural hunters and this is practice for hunting.
Cats and kittens find joy in the simpliest things. A blade of grass. Give her a toy throw it across the floor. Get her run more and she will get tired after a while and take a nap and grow while she is sleeping. She is a baby. A good toy is a foil ball. make sure it is big enough she won't swollow it or for it to go under the stove or something. She will knock that little ball winding and then run and grab it and flip over on it. If she has to be in a box make it big enough for her to roll around in with a toy she will wresle around and have a big time. She just has to get tired.
If you have a kitten that is sitting around without playtimes it is sick. They play a while and sleep a while.
Enjoy your kitten or find her a good home and get yourself a stuffed toy cat to sit around and decorate your room.

That's the joy of having a kitten, it's like having a 2 year old child--in to everything! She will outgrow it, also they usually calm a bit after spaying / neutering. Play with her regularly and try to wear her out a bit before bedtime. It usually takes a while before baby will sleep through the night however--enjoy-aren't they so cute?

you cant! kittens are full of energy and they will be more nocturnal too. (night animals) its rare for them to hurt themselves but simple kitty proofing around the house might help. Let her have fun and the more you play with her with different toys the more tired she will be. give her a good healthy playtime and she might take a nap. But don't expect an old lazy lounging cat for at least a couple of years.

kittens AND cats dont ussually hurts themselves, even kittens are old enough to judge either their movement will hurt themselves or not. height is a playground for cats, believe me. they can jump from a 2 or 3 story house (ussually they dont unless they are desperate) and leave without a sratch.
you cant stop cats or kittens from moving around unless they are the "lazy" or "play" type of cats. they are still growing and it is their nature to explore things around. you can try putting the kitten on your lap while watching tv, that should calm them down for a while..

the only cure is to wait until they are about 5 years old. then they settle down
she's not gonna hurt herself, even if she falls 2 or 3 feet...they very tough little things.
kittens are active...they need to be to grow up strong.
she'll sleep when she needs to. otherwise, let her be.
