1. either learn to laugh about it yourself
2. get very serious, and act like you really don't want anyone to laugh at you. usually people respect this and leave you alone.

Well, first, decide if it's really worth saying if you're just going to get someone to laugh right in your face.
But if you absolutely HAVE to, start out by saying that what you're about to say is a little embarrassing - I'm sure they have felt the same at one point and if they proceed to laugh at you hysterically, then they aren't even worth talking to.

If this person really respects you as a person and this is a serious topic to you they won't laugh and if they do they dont deserve to being told things from you.

well..u can bring up the subject and see wat they have 2 say about it then if they have a positive answer u can tell them watever it is if its a negative answer do not tell the person or tell them at a more appropriate time when they will not laugh.

make mental preparation that they'll laugh at u. but don't prompt urself to say it..as in "i'll say it in 5..4..3.."just blast it all out.
