I am trying to tone up and loose my baby fat and I do weight training 2 times a week and cardio 3 times a week. What is better running or aerobics as a way of cardio? Any suggestions?

The bio-chemical process to burn fat during running doesnt take affect until @ 25 minutes after starting. The process only takes 5 minutes with walking. So if you run or jog for a half hour you'll have about 5 mins of fat burning. I f you walk, you'll have around 25.

Take your pick.

It's not true that running is better for you. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve. Yes running will help "condition" you, but aerobics is equally good for you. Many aerobic classes incorporate running, skipping, biking, stepping and other things into their classes which require your heart rate to constantly change and so you burn calories faster. If you run all the time at the same pace, your body will get used to it and stop burning. Also, aerobics has the benefit of an instructor who will take you through a good warm up, a motivating class, and an important cool down and stretch. Furthermore, running is very bad on the knees and can eventually cause injuries.

I find aerboics much more interesting, but that is a preference. I lost 40lbs doing aerobics classes, so I know it works. that bieng said, both activties will work, but ensure you vary up your cardio every 5-6 weeks though so you conitinue to "shock" your body.

Running of course, running is the best way to loose weigth, or fat. It will increase your cardio more. Running is the best way for everything for example conditioning.

or you can alternate them every other workout or something like that....that's what I would do
