They might be "forced" into: saying they believe or pretending to believe.

I am interested to read your thoughts.

No I don't think that anyone can truly be forced to believe in something that they don't want to.....brainwashing not withstanding.....and even then that can be reversed. It just takes strength of character to be able to stand up and say no you don't believe.....

Forced to believe what? In Christianity? That seems to be the
main rip on this site. There are hundreds of religions I don't
agree with and I don't go and start stirring the soup like all the
non-Christians do.
But to answer your question. Under duress and torture people
will say anything. But as a Christian, God knows the heart and
those who believe in him.

No. It's a choice no matter what it is. I agree they could force you to say it but if you don't believe it, then it doesn't really matter. It's not going to change your opinion. Those who think that anyone can force beliefs on anyone has no clue what they are talking about. You either believe it in your heart or you don't.

They cannot truly be forced. I agree they can be forced in saying or pretending, but to truly follow and believe in something is for one to decide on their own, deep down in their heart and soul they know what they believe in.

"Christ Jesus is made unto me wisdom from God," 1 Corinthians 1:30; I possess wisdom, which is the ability to use knowledge rightly. Of my own free will and with a glad heart! I will not let you nor anyone else change my mind nor will I try to force you to understand the light, love and comfort that I feel. If you choose not to believe then fine that is your life. But I choose to believe!

My ex told me that I was a bad mom for so long that I came to believe it. It took me 2 years to stop second guessing all my decisions with my son and realize that I am a fantastic mom. He was the one who moved two thousand miles away leaving his son and I raised a very polite, loving young man without his help.

By the way, I never did drugs or neglected my child either. I have always worked full time and been 200% dedicated to my son, his sports, school events etc. (Just to defend myself a litte there.)

It happens all over the world. The children of Christians are not Jews, the children of Muslims are not Buudhist etc. Children adapt to the community that they are in. At the time a child learns from its parents it does not seem like "forcing", but the net result is that children are taught to conform to their community norms.

Forced conversions arn't really conversions. But if the coversion takes place under threat of violence, the fake-converts will make sure that their children truly believe in nothing else in order to save their lives.

In two generations the "unwanted" belief is gone.

i believe that everyone who pretend believing are the one's who can't understand thoroughly the presented argument or facts

anyone can't force you to believe unless your conscious and subconscious as well as your unconscious mind tell you to believe

i dont think so we all have our own beliefs and if someone says they believe just to please someone else they are doing it under false pretense.i personally will let a person know if i believe in what they are saying and if i dont i will tell them.honesty is the best policy no matter what anyone thinks.
