it's simple....

DON'T! Your body needs a good 7-8 hours sleep. Don't try to cut back on it just because you are trying to get more done.

If on the other hand you are sleeping 10+ hours and you are always feeling lethargic throughout the day, you might see a doctor to check for iron/copper deficiency anemia or some other ailment.

Your diet can also have a lot to due with it. If you are eating right and exercising, your body will have the energy it needs. If your body is constantly signaling you to rest, it's either not getting the energy it needs or is trying to repair a problem inside it.

I found that when i had a severe problem with depression many years ago, one of the first manifestations was an extreme need for unnatural amount of sleep. Maybe a little soul-searching and a visit to your family doctor could help rule out the onset of a depression, or start treating a very new one asap. A physical could also rule out physical ailments.

How much are you actually sleeping? We seem to live in s go, go, go society where being able to get by on very little sleep is almost a badge of honor. Most doctors Will say that most people need between 7-8 hour a night most of the time for maximum health. I personally need nine hours, and I think my friends who say they feel great on 4 hours of sleep a night are lying to someone, maybe themselves. Sure, we all, especially parents, have occasional short nights, but rest needs to be a priority just like good nutrition for maximum health.

Good luck and sweet dreams

That depends on if you are willing to be tired and risk getting sick more easily. Your body needs the sleep you get in a normal night or 8 hours. A person can get by on less, but your level of attention and such suffers. I personally LOVE to sleep its like my favorite thing to do. To answer your question, waking up and getting out of bed is sheer will power. So to cut down on sleep, you must make yourself.

Depends on how much you are sleeping and how little you want to get by on. You may wish to begin by cleaning out your body, with the King of Detoxifiers (see link), because sometimes people sleep more than normal with toxicity.

Your extra sleep time is probably keeping you from severe depression now. Don't change it until you are ready to tackle life. People who have active love partners sleep very little and don't need more.
