Okay, I downloaded an album off of the internet; more specifically thepiratebay.org I also downloaded photoshop because I had gotten a new computer and it was an online download, I have ALREADY paid for it. So I don't consider it stealing. I paid for photoshop and I will have it. I also have the serial code. It oddly took about 3 seconds to download everything, including photoshop. Firefox saved it on the desktop, and when I pressed the icon it said; WINDOWS CANNOT OPEN THIS FILE. YOU MUST HAVE THE CORRECT PROGRAM TO OPEN IT. So I pressed find the right program, and it took me to a page that said; We cannot locate the right program. I also downloaded GIMP as well, and the same thing happened. but it was from the official gimp.com. not the pirate website. I did the same thing with internet explorer. Not the new one. I saved the music into the music, and I pressed the media center and tried to add the music, but it said it didn't exist.

Please help!

The icon on the desktop must not be the actual program if it only took about 3 seconds to download. Even on a fast connection, it should take longer. Look at the file properties to see if it is an .exe file. That is what it would need to be in order for it to install the program. Hope this somewhat helps. :)

If it only took seconds, then it sounds like either corrupt files (which can be incomplete) or a zip file. What are the file extensions? Also, if you have the disk for Photo Shop, just install it from that. Why bother downloading if you have everything. I would need to know the file extensions that downloaded before I could answer this further.

Sounds like you downloaded a 1K torrent file. You need Bit Tornado or a similar program to handle it. After you download and install the program. Assoicate the file you downloaded with it.. Then, when you double click your file. It should inherriantly download the entire program for you.

The file you downloaded from thepiratebay was the ".torrent" file which tells a bittorrent programme where to get the file, etc.

You will need a bittorrent client to accomplish the actual file download. Here is a good one:
