We can, it is so amazing, some people have made my day just by talking to me, some people have ruine my day though too just by talking to me.

You can always make someone feel better by speaking positive, encouraging words and throw in a compliment or praise them for something good they have done.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21

Pleasant words are as honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

Everyone enjoys giving good advice, and how wonderful it is to be able to say the right thing at the right time! Proverbs 15:23 (TLB)

and it's 10 points for best answer!!!

Absolutely - especially if they smile and tell you!

Or especially if your a counsellor and helping them or someone talking them away from an edge!

It's not hard to make someones day. Tell them you appreciate them and also thank them. You will be surprised at how much better YOU feel afterwards.

Absolutely, and isn't that a wonderful thought, that perhaps taking the time to give someone a heartfelt smile and a few kind words, could possibly brighten their day.Almost every time I interact with people I do so in hopes to brighten their day ,knowing that in turn that it will brighten mine.(It's something my parents tought me growing up and I really feel it has made me who I'm today and alot of my happiness stems from this wonderful gift that I was shown how to give and receive, because you see the most rewarding part of this is the happiness you will receive.

I think so. I know I have a friend online who will out of the blue send me an instant message and his words always bring a smile to my face even when I have had the worst day ever and that message will carry me through several more days

Yes! Everyone's life is filled of obstacles and compliments or even small conversations are quite great for someone whose in pain. Perhaps that one compliment or that brief conversation led the other person to realize that there are really other great people ou there....and so on and so forth!

One of my friends sent me this poem, I am not sure who wrote it.
Smiling is infectious. You catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling, too.
I passed around the corner, and someone saw my grin,
and when he smiled, I realized I'd passed it on to him.
The more I think about that smile, I realize its worth.
A single little smile like mine could travel round the earth.
So when a smile begins to form, don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic now and get the world infected.

Possibly. But they have to be open to that. Having a great day is a choice. YOu can choose to have a bad day or choose to have a great one!
