Interpretation of the Law of the Tanach (Christian OT) is found in the Talmud. Those laws are the maximum punishment which were seldom, if ever, carried out.
Would you expect me to understand Christianity without ever having read the "New Testament?" Then why do you presume to understand Judaism without ever having studied the Talmud?
