Scoop the rice into the cup that came with the Aroma Rice Cooker. Then pour that rice into a regular measuring cup. That should give you the amount the cup from the Aroma Rice Cooker holds. Whatever that amount is, double it for the water, if you're using one Aroma Rice Cooker cup for the rice. Otherwise, it's one cup rice, two cups water, using a regular measuring cup.

In a rice cooker, you use equal amounts of water & rice, so that's 1 cup water & 1 cup rice. If you want your rice with a bit more "umph" use a little less water. In that case it will be trial & error until you get the texture you want.

For every container you use to measure the rice with use 2 parts water.... simple as that ..You don't need an actual measuring cup...

Why don't you just fill the measuring cup and then weigh it. Then you will know how much rice will go in the cup!
