Hmmmm, let me see ... if there are more than four lanes children aren't allowed to cross the road ... NOT! (foolish people)

A fifth lane in the center is a turning lane and is not considered a divided highway. The only time you may pass a school bus under any circumstances is the opposite side of a DIVIDED highway ... either by a barrier or median, a paved strip is not considered either one.

I know that cars on the opposite side of a divided highway that has a barrier do not have to stop for buses. It may be different depending on which they are going but I don`t think a bus driver would make a child cross over the barriier anyways or they shouldn`t be allowed to.

Here in Washington State we don't have to stop. (2 lanes going either direction) I thought we did and would be shocked every time someone sped through and didn't stop--but they were the ones that knew the law!

No. If it is more than two lanes, the other side of the road does not have to stop. It is illegal for children to cross more than one lane so they will be exiting the bus on the side of the road they live on.
