For babysitting a five year old for about twelve hours a day. Would it make a difference too if this person was your friends daughter? and if so how big a difference?

When I did daycare I charged $2.00 an hour, for family I charged $1.50 an hour, either way I'm sure that you would be paying more for a daycare.

The minimum should be 5 dollars an hour. The Maximum should be 8 dollars an hour.
If you have to feed the child then charge 8. If you babysit at the persons house or if they bring food for the child then charge 5-7 dollars an hour.

Hope this has helped.

hmmm I used to babysit my friend's daughter and she paid me 5 dollars an hour with a $20 a day minimum charge. If you feel like putting a maximum daily charge as well, you could...but that could create problems if your friend was consistently late picking her daughter up!

Are you going to be driving to her house every day, or will she be dropping her daughter off with you? Because gas is another expense to consider!

12 hours is a very long time.... is there any way you can shorten your day? A five year old for 12 hours.... I would be paying not one penny less then 75.00 a day.
