He lost his job and is drinking a lot, taking pain pills too because he hurt himself on the job (not a major injury). Is no sex part of this program or just a lame excuse? Is there something else going on? We are 99% sure it's not another woman.

Hmmm... Any kind of stress can affect the functioning of his "area". Especially if he is taking pain meds as well. I think it really depends on the guy. Some guys can relieve their stress through sex, and some guys just dont want to put in the effort. Keep talking to him. Sometimes if you just talk to the guy and let him know you are there, maybe he could relieve his stress through talking. As for the drinking... that can DEFINITLY affect how he works. Drinking is a depressant. So if he is already depressed, drinking is putting him into a deeper hole. If possible, get him to slow down. Offer to go to a movie instead of to a bar. Offer to give him a back rub instead of a beer. Im 100% sure that my husband would never cheat on me, but when he gets stressed out, he doesnt want to either. Usually because he is stressed out with me. lol. I hope this helps sweets. Good luck

Lots of things can affect the male libido (we're not nearly as strong as we try and make you believe, but you already knew that).

It sounds like your boyfriend/husband/significant other is going through some pretty severe depression. Depression has been shown in many instances to kill a guy's sex drive, so I wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with it.

The drinking is definetely only hurting the situation, especially when combined with narcotics.

while I definetely recommend you should be careful about approaching him because he's probably a little unstable right now, you should try talking to him about getting some counseling, but no matter what, something needs to be done because he definetely is not helping himself right now.

If you feel like it's something you can't accomplish on your own it's okay to look for help. Talk to his family and friends, and you can also go see a counselor (alone, together, or just him, any of that could be helpful).

Regardless, make sure you do something.

Pain pills and alcohol can both affect this area too, because they both have sedating effects on the mind and body. They are probably combining with the stress and compounding it.

Stress can easily remove any and all desires from anyone, sex included. Give him time to recover from this difficult period in his life, he'll come around eventually.

Just suck his dick, he can't resist that. If he does, you know something is wrong. Wake him up to head.
