I think it depends on your view of what "disturbing" means exactly. And if you find movies to be "disturbing" then just don't watch them. I find that someone is still making Harry Potter movies disturbing, but I guess the market for them hasn't dried up completely yet. (I'm not a fan of Harry Potter.)

Spirit tricks the Powers of Darkness. Making them think they do what they want. While all the time they are doing the will of the Creator.
Soon humanity will see things they don't want to see. The spiritual evil they have created on this World. As our World is composed of many realities.
While Darkness thinks they are making us more afraid. They are only helping us to better deal with these things, when Darkness walks the Earth.

This is why the Bible says we are to be careful what we allow to enter our minds through our eyes and ears.
Try going without television or movies or secular music for 1 month. When you go back to it you will see the evil you didn't even notice before.

I know, I get tired of programes being packed with violence, it makes me feel physicaly ill that some people get a kick out of it.
