Unfortunately for the Jews, it is part of their lot to be hated. The Bible predicts this. They are the chosen people of God and they will be despised by multitudes for various reasons, not the least of which is jealousy. I have often wondered if that may have something to do with the ages old feud between Israel and the people of Islam. It is often said that the Muslems are decended from Ishmael, Abraham's first born while the Jews were decended from Isaac, Abrahams second born and favorite. Imagine a grudge being carried to such extreems!
In spite of the fundamental differences in theology, the true Christians do not hate the Jews. We love them for they are the chosen people of our God and they are our Lord’s people as well. Oh there are those who call themselves "Christian" who will hate or find some reason to dislike Jews. I would submit that anyone who is like that is not and may never have been a true Christian since our Lord's commandment instructs us to love.
We do not hate them because of our Lord’s crucifixion and death for we know that it was necessary. Jesus had to die in order for the debt of sin to be paid. If not by the Jews, it would have been someone else, but it had to be the Jews, because to be rejected by His own people was part of the suffering He had to endure. In the end, it was our sin that killed the Lord. It was His own glorious power than raised Him from the dead after the debt was paid.
It was a shame that it had to happen that way. His own people were blinded from their own prophesies and failed to realize that their Messiah had come, but not in the form that they had been expecting; at least not that time. He first had to come to eliminate the debt of sin. Now He waits for His church to mature and spread the Holy Gospel. When the time is fulfilled, He will return and the Jews will see Him as the conquering King they have been waiting for.
As a Post Script, I would like to point out that Hitler saw his as the "Master Race". Imagine how it must have infuriated him to know that another race was God's Chosen.
